Helping The Real Estate Industry Connect

We recently held the first of our Connect events. Our aim is to give professionals in real estate the opportunity to come together and gain insight and advice from industry experts, as well as network and connect with each other. Find out what happened on the day.

Helping The Real Estate Industry Connect

On Friday 18 October we were delighted to hold our first ever Connect event, welcoming attendees to Norrsken House in Stockholm for half a day of networking and insightful lectures focused around
digital transformation and technology in the real estate industry.

Recent times have seen real estate agents negatively impacted by the rise of online property portals, which have taken a major share of traffic and enquiries. And in the face of this digital disruption, we’ve helped make it possible for real estate agents to reclaim their position in the buying and selling process and avoid reliance on portal listings. Our new Connect platform is all about building on this, bringing industry together to share experiences and highlight the latest news and innovations.

After a networking breakfast and an introduction from our co-founder and CEO André Hegge, the morning kicked off with our first talk from Erik Wikander, CEO of Mäklarhuset and member of one of our partner organisations, Boneo.

A brand-new property portal, Boneo has been created by seven of Sweden’s leading estate agents in order to allow estate agents to pool their resources together to mutual benefit. Erik spoke about Boneo’s strategy to become number one in the real estate industry and the go-to for consumers embarking on their property journeys.

Next up to impart some digital wisdom was Emma Blom, founder of social media agency Social Industries. Digital is king in today’s world, so a strong digital presence is crucial for brands to secure success and Emma’s lecture saw her offering her expertise on exactly how estate agents can take theirs to the next level.

Lecturer Tomas Wesander from Stjärnsäljarpodden followed, sharing his knowledge in sales, networking and entrepreneurship with a social media slant.

Finally, we heard from Stefan Johanson and Johan Elmqvist on ‘How to succeed in the noise’. As Growth hackers at Zalster, the agile platform which automates and optimises Facebook and Instagram advertising, their knowledge spans everything from paid advertising to digital strategy, marketing and content creation, making them well-placed to advise attendees how to make their brand stand out.

We’d like to thank all of our speakers and guests for making this first annual Connect event a great success, and we’ll be back again in 2020 with more expert opinions and insights on the topics and innovations driving change in the real estate sector. We look forward to seeing you there.
